Update!
I am taking down the donate button because we had such an overwhelming response! Chester has undergone the surgery and is home fully recovered. If you want to donate to Chester, but not specifically to the surgery, you are welcome to give straight to his vet or contact us for other ways. I'm obviously not going to stop you since we are still in debt from the first surgery, but there are plenty of causes helping out other animals just like Chester that you should check out. Thank you times 50 million to everyone who helped in any way! Check out the blog to see how he's doing.
Other Worthy Causes/Ways to Help:
Chester may be the cutest (in my totally unbiased opinion) of these cases, but so many of you have written me with similar stories and heartache. So if you want to donate to a more permanent charity, I would highly recommend the Washington State University Vet School's Good Samaritan Fund. This fund got us through the first surgery and kept Chester alive. Donating to it will help to replenish the funds Chester used, and give those funds to more of the adorable puppies and kitties who need it. I'm sure there are a million other charities just like this, but this is the one I have the most personal affection for.

Also, animal rescues could always use some money, food, toys, supplies, etc. Talk to your vet for recommendations or look up your nearest one.
